Something About Imperfection.first of all.. it exists. shocking, I know.
But I think we forget this. I know I definitely do. Like today. I had my day all planned out. Do this at this time, do a quiz for that class, hang out with that person, blah blah blah. But guess what? I’m imperfect. We’re imperfect. So the minute we plan out something, we can’t guarantee it’s going to happen the way we planned it.
So then WHY do we get all mixed up, pissed off, and upset when it doesn’t happen? Oh yeah. because we think we are PERFECT. we think that our ways are right. haha. you better be laughing right now cause I’m shaking my head as I write this. it’s ridiculous, how the human mind controls us sometimes.
There’s only one Person who is perfect. I think you know where I’m going with this. The only image of perfection we will EVER find in this world is Christ. HIS sacrifice. HIS ministry. HIS love. HIS ways. Unless we center our lives around HIM we can never “expect” something to happen perfectly. Unless we are walking in His will, things will never be perfect. But hear me loud and clear with what I’m about to say: WE ARE STILL SINNERS. We, ourselves, will NEVER be perfect. Only God is. And although His will is perfect, it may not be what YOU want. Notice a trend here? To lose sight of the desire to be perfect is to lose sight of one’s self. So when you fail and slip off path and fall down, don’t get hard on yourself. It’s in your human nature of sin to do so. There is no such thing as a perfect person, perfect pastor, perfect preacher, or perfect church. only GOD is perfect. So stop striving for it. Stop striving for perfection, but rather, strive for the Perfector. Because there will come a day when we stand in from of Him spotless. Hold on for that promise. Hold on for that day.
As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30

every day the same telemarketing company calls us. I’ve asked to be taken off their calling list, I’ve tried to be civil, I’ve even tried to not answer the phone, yet they’ll keep calling. So now I’ve resorted to making the phones calls as annoying as possible for them.
Today I asked the person to hold while I got a pen and paper. As of now, they’ve been waiting 45 minutes.
Update:
I just asked him if he was still there, then when he said yes i told him i had found a pen but no paper, but that i’m still looking. It’s been an hour.
I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN ON TUMBLR AND YOUTUBE WHILE THIS GUY WAITS. IT’S BEEN ALMOST AN HOUR AND A HALF
Update:
After an hour and 35 minutes I told him that i had found paper, but my pen was dead. He hung up. Ah well, i’ll just do it again tomorrow!
